About Leah

HEY, THERE. I’M SO GLAD THAT YOU STOPPED BY!

I’m Leah – wife to my husband and high school sweetheart Tyler, dog mom to our rescue pup Kane, secretary/office manager/event coordinator/a million other titles at the church where I grew up, Editorial Manager at She Can Coterie, associate wedding photographer, lifestyle blogger, and soon-to-be mama to our firstborn (we are expecting a little boy in November 2017)! All that said… I keep myself pretty busy!

We live in our hometown in central Wisconsin in an almost-century-old Cape Cod that I fell in love with the second I walked in the door. I love reading on our purple-floored front porch, capturing everyday moments on camera, burning candles, and cuddling with our 75-pound lap dog. If it was 65 degrees and sunny all year round, I would be the happiest girl in the world. My life was intersected by Jesus at a young age and I haven’t looked back since.

I’m passionate about:Β Jesus, high-quality cuisine, naps, reading, autumn, sushi, chai lattes, mixing patterns, worship through song, $5 Tuesdays at our local movie theater, laughing loudly, and floral everything.

I started My Favorite Adventure in June of 2014 when I was looking for an outlet to share with others as well as record my memories for myself while I was attending UW-Stevens Point to get my BA in English. I never thought that other people would be interested in hearing about things like what books I love and what I’m currently up to, but here we are! I love the community that I’ve found on the internet and hope that you’ll love it too.

My Favorite Adventure has allowed me to make some part-time income, which is something that I never expected, but ended up loving (especially as a new mom!). I’ve gotten to work with brands like Starbucks, Dr. Pepper, HP, Harman, and more! If you’re interested in collaborating, I have more information for you hereΒ or you can shoot me an email right away at leah@myfavoriteadventure.com. I’m so excited to hear from you!

  • Haha I graduated with an english degree in May…still have no idea what to do. #englishmajorprobs

    • Oh, #ifeelyou. We’ll see what happens! πŸ˜‰

  • I am currently still in college and engaged too! I am so happy to find someone else who can relate to the joys and struggles of such a life!

    • Oh, I feel you, Annie! It’s a crazy, crazy life. So fun, but so busy! I’m actually graduating in a little under a month. Which will be insane! But I’m happy to be moving on with my life. πŸ™‚

  • YOUR WEDDING IS TOMORROW! Happy wedding weekend

  • Just stumbled upon your space (Blog name caught my eye on Brave Love Blog). I am in blog love! Excited to read more through your adventure. Hiking and zombie theories are some of our favorites too, especially when they are combines! Have a beautiful Thursday!

    • Aw, thanks, Melanie! So glad you stopped by. I love finding people who like the same things as me. πŸ˜‰

  • Hi Leah! I just came across your blog and I’m so glad I did! We have a lot in common. πŸ™‚ My husband is in the Army Reserves and loves shooting guns, watching Netflix, and teaching middle school US History! My husband loves talking zombie apocalypse stuff, too – while I prefer reading, my own heated blanket, and Instagram! And we totally go out for half-price sushi! πŸ™‚ It’s so fun to find out what you and I have in common! Nice to meet you. I look forward to following along! πŸ™‚

    • Hannah, are we twins or what?! Holy cow! I love finding people like me. I’m mostly happy that you understand the joy of half-price sushi. Because getting high-quality sushi for HALF is the best part of my life. Okay, maybe not the BEST. But it’s up there. Glad to have you, Hannah!

  • Congratulations on getting married recently, that is just so exciting! I love your blog design and about page and look forward to reading more πŸ™‚

    • Hey thanks, Sarah! It’s been a craaaaazy [almost] six months as a married woman! Loving [almost] every minute of it. πŸ˜‰ Thanks for your sweet words! I worked hard on the design and loved that it paid off!

      • Did you do the design yourself?? Whether you did or didn’t, I’m total heart eyes alllll over it! πŸ™‚

        • I bought a premade theme and did some customizing. So… kind of! Haha! Thanks again. πŸ˜‰
